What does a Radiologic Technologist do?Â
A radiologic technologist, also known as a radiographer, is a healthcare professional who performs diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans. They use specialized equipment to create images of the inside of a patient’s body, which physicians use to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Radiologic technologists position patients correctly, ensure safety from radiation exposure, and maintain detailed imaging records. They play a critical role in helping doctors detect illnesses, fractures, or abnormalities—all while providing compassionate care and ensuring patients are comfortable during procedures.
